Separation Counselling

COMPASSIONATE CARE WHEN NAVIGATING DIVORCE AND SEPARATION

If your relationship has come to its conclusion, whether amicably or as a result of things outside of your control, you may find yourself experiencing a mixture of feelings. From sadness to anger, confusion to relief or even happiness, all of this is natural and part of processing the relationship's end.

While some separations come as a surprise, others may have been a long time coming and whether you have been together for a long time or only briefly, the pain and grief associated can be equally as difficult to work through.

Often integral to successfully recovering one’s sense of self, confidence, happiness and a renewed sense of purpose, counselling is beneficial to anyone going through a separation, regardless of gender or age.

Our separation counselling in Melbourne offers several benefits including but not limited to:

- Teaching techniques for managing negative feelings and resolving conflicts, which is especially important if you will be co-parenting

- Processing the changes that come with separation in a healthy manner

- Support in dealing with grief and other difficult feelings concerning the end of the relationship

- Giving you a safe space to air your grievances and receive reassurance

- Giving you a better understanding of what went wrong, so you can learn from it and have more successful relationships in future.

- Help with transitioning into your new life post-separation or divorce

- Improving self-care and self-esteem

By investing in your mental health and recovery post-separation and seeing a counsellor for divorce or separation you are best placed to move forward confidently into a new chapter.
